France is dying. Joan, a young peasant haunted by her failure to save those she loves, believes God has called her to action. Yolande of Aragon, the architect behind the French crown, recognizes in the girl a chance to rally a broken nation. As Joan's victories transform her into a symbol larger than herself, both women must reckon with the forces that seek to claim her, exploit her, and ultimately destroy her.
