This film uses doppelgangers and the language of horror to explore disordered eating, the need for control and the terrifying vulnerability of learning to accept the parts of ourselves we have been taught to fear
The Film
NOW THAT WE’RE ALONE follows Monica, a woman who's carefully maintained sense of public control begins to unravel when she’s left alone.
As the shop transforms into an increasingly claustrophobic nightmare, Monica runs, hides and eventually fights the figure pursuing her. But the more desperately she tries to destroy her, the more impossible it becomes to escape.

OUR MISSION
In a world that uses aesthetic as currency, where weight loss drugs become a fad, and celebrities wear their bones down the red carpet, food noise, comparison and disordered eating become the norm.
As part of the film’s fundraising campaign, HerStories Productions intends to make an independent charitable contribution to our selected nonprofit partner.
For every $50 raised, HerStories will donate $5 to our partner organization with a goal of 10K and a $1000 dollar donation.
Our goal is for the campaign to do more than finance a film - we want the process of making the film itself to generate awareness and financial support for eating disorder recovery.
